How we got here

People often ask where it all began. The story starts more than five decades ago when John and Chris arrived from overseas. They landed in New York and eventually settled in Detroit, working their way up through the restaurant trade. After years of learning every part of the business, they opened their first restaurant on the Wayne State University campus — where they began making the pizzas that would become a local favorite.

As the family and the business grew, opportunities to expand appeared. In November 1976 the family acquired the Mama Mia restaurants and continued to build on the traditions of fresh ingredients, generous portions, and warm service. Over the years the operation prospered, and family members became more involved in the day-to-day running of the restaurants.

"We constantly strive to bring you the best service and the freshest food for the greatest value."

We are grateful to our dedicated employees and to the patrons who have supported us through the years. Maintaining the family tradition and serving our community remain at the heart of everything we do.

Bon appetit!
